MoErgo Warranty Policy

MoErgo Products are guaranteed against manufacturer’s defects for eighteen (18) months from the original date of purchase from MoErgo. MoErgo’s sole obligation in the event of such defects during this period is to repair or replace the defective MoErgo Products or parts thereof with a comparable MoErgo Products or parts thereof at MoErgo’s sole discretion; if MoErgo finds that neither option is feasible, MoErgo may issue a refund. Except for such repair or replacement, the sale, processing or other handling of MoErgo Products is without warranty, condition or other liability even though the defect or loss is caused by negligence or other fault. Damage resulting from improper use, abuse, accident, or normal wear and tear is not covered by this or any warranty. MoErgo assumes no liability for any accident, injury, death, loss, or other claim related to or resulting from the use of MoErgo Products. In no event shall MoErgo be liable for incidental or consequential damages relating to or resulting from the use of MoErgo Products or any of its parts. 

1. Because of possible user errors, MoErgo Products are not warrantied against damages due to

a. Any user-initiated modifications or repairs (unless specifically instructed by MoErgo in writing by email or direct Discord communication)

b. Replacing keycaps

c. Use of GPIO pin headers on Glove80 keyboards

d. Soldering of switches for the “switches-not-soldered” Glove80 keyboards

e. Use of non-standards-compliant USB cables, chargers or adapters

f. Use of the Glove80 palm rests without providing adequate mechanical support to the palm rests

g. Use in a marine or corrosive environment

2. Before requesting a return authorization, please consult MoErgo and attempt to identify the issue. Many problems can be resolved in a few simple steps or installing the latest firmware, without initiating the return authorization process.

3. A return authorization (RMA) number must be obtained from MoErgo before the return of product(s). Any MoErgo Product(s) sent without a RMA number will be returned to the sender at the sender's cost.

4. If MoErgo, in MoErgo’s complete discretion, deems the MoErgo Products defective, an RMA number and detailed instructions for returning the item(s) will be emailed to the Reseller using the email address provided on the Return Authorized Request form.

5. Sender is solely responsible for the cost of returning the product(s) to MoErgo’s New Zealand address.

6. Any return must be received by MoErgo (at MoErgo’s New Zealand address) within 45 days after the RMA number is issued. 

7. The MoErgo warranty only covers manufacturer’s defects for eighteen (18) months from date of purchase. The warranty does NOT cover damage caused by user error (see statement above)

8. The MoErgo warranty is applicable to only the original retail purchaser, and in the country to which the order was shipped, and is not transferable unless explicitly agreed by MoErgo in writing.

9. Replacement units and replacement parts are shipped on a duty-unpaid (DDU) basis. You will be responsible for any import duty, VAT/GST, custom fees or other tax/fees associated with the shipment. If the original order was shipped using standard shipping or at a location where standard shipping was available at the time of the order, MoErgo will be responsible for any DDU shipping cost of the replacement units and/or replacement parts to the original shipping address. Otherwise (including but not limited to: the original order was shipped with DHL surcharge or similar, or the customer has moved to a location that is not available for delivery with our standard shipping), the customer will be responsible for shipping costs and provided with a shipping quote.
